The Alexandria Lions Club Branch collected non-perishable food items this month to help stock the pantry at Central Louisiana Technical Community College.

The donations will support CLTCC students who are balancing jobs, families and school while working to build a better future.

The Alexandria Lions Club Branch also welcomed Emily McGruder, president and CEO of the Central Louisiana Community Foundation, who shared how CLCF continues to strengthen communities across Central Louisiana through partnerships and philanthropy.

During the meeting, McGruder presented the Alexandria Lions Club Branch with a $5,000 donation from CLCF in support of the club’s 4th Annual Strides for Diabetes.

The donation will support the club’s efforts to raise awareness, provide education and support organizations making a difference for individuals living with diabetes.
