Rapides Parish School Board Spotlight

The Rapides Parish School Board recognized some game-changers during its monthly board meeting.
During the Superintendent’s Report, the following people were honored:
1. Oak Hill and ASH student-athletes for placing at the state track meet.
2. Tioga High Boys’ Track Team for becoming the Class 4A State Runner-Ups at the state track team.
3. Buckeye’s STEM Team for placing 1st and 2nd at ULL’s STEM competition, which saw them compete against more than 500 students.
4. Rapides High’s Robotics Team for being overall state champs at the Seaperch State Robotics Competition.
5. Buckeye High Girls’ Powerlifting Team for becoming the Class 3A State Runner-Ups at the state powerlifting meet.
The School Board also honored Federal Programs Director Bill Higgins on a distinguished educational career and wished him the best of retirements.
