The Rapides Association of Principals and Assistant Principals recently held its annual retiree luncheon to recognize a few of its amazing staff that have reached the goal of retirement.
Those that were present were each given a golden bell for their service and dedication to the Rapides Parish School System. Duana Urbina was awarded the Allen Nichols Distinguished Educator Award for 2023.
The Allen Nichols Award is given to a retiree that goes above and beyond their occupation to help strengthen the foundation of the Rapides Parish School System.
