The Rapides Parish Police Jury has announced that the parishwide burn ban has been lifted effective at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2026, following recent rainfall in the parish.

Officials encourage residents to continue exercising caution when conducting outdoor burning. Fires should never be left unattended, wind conditions should be monitored, and a water source should be kept nearby to contain and control any fire.

The Rapides Parish Police Jury thanked residents for refraining from outdoor burning during the recent period of dry weather.
