The City of Pineville has been selected to receive a $336,000 federal Safe Streets and Roads for All grant to develop a citywide Safety Action Plan aimed at reducing fatal and serious-injury traffic crashes.
The project represents a $420,000 investment, including an $84,000 local match.
The Safety Action Plan will examine crash patterns across Pineville’s roadways, intersections and multimodal corridors to identify areas of concern and opportunities for safety improvements.
The planning process will also include gathering public input and establishing a prioritized list of projects designed to reduce fatal and serious-injury crashes throughout the city.
