January 19, 1949 – October 24, 2026

Geraldine Briggs Granvile was born on January 19, 1949, to Harding Briggs Sr. and Lilian Briggs. She departed this life on October 24, 2026, at the age of 77.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved daughter, Dr. Carol (Vernon) Swift; her grandchild, Monica (Daniel) Privett; and her surviving siblings, Corrine, Linda, Marvin, Kenneth and Darnice. She will also be lovingly remembered by her extended family and many dear friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 9 to 11 a.m. at First New Light Baptist Church, located at 5752 Bayou Rapides Road in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.

Burial will take place at Garden of Memories Cemetery, located at 2733 Eddie Williams Avenue in Alexandria, Louisiana.
