Rapides High School’s Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) and Youth Volunteer Corps (YVC) students recently partnered with the Lecompte Garden Club for the annual fall cleanup as part of the Keep Louisiana Beautiful project.

Students worked at several locations throughout Lecompte, including the Old Lecompte High School, Lecompte Fire Station and the welcome sign behind Sabine Bank.

Cleanup activities included weeding flower beds, raking leaves and weed eating to help maintain the appearance of public spaces throughout the community.

Rapides High School expressed pride in the students for their willingness to volunteer and give back to the community through their participation.

The school also thanked the Lecompte Garden Club for its continued partnership and the opportunity to work together on community beautification efforts.
