ALEXANDRIA — Early voting momentum continued to climb in Rapides Parish on Thursday, Oct. 22, pushing the cumulative turnout to 5,840 total ballots cast for the Nov. 3 election, according to official statistical reports from the Louisiana Secretary of State’s Office.

Voters cast 1,302 additional ballots on Day 3 alone, propelled by heavy in-person traffic at the registrar of voters office. Over the three-day period, in-person voting accounted for 3,873 ballots (66.3% of the total), while processed mail-in and absentee ballots reached 1,967 (33.7%). A total of 13 military and overseas ballots (4 domestic, 9 overseas) have been logged, and 86 voters have received assistance at the polls.

Voting Information

Early voting continues daily from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (excluding Sunday, Oct. 25) through Tuesday, Oct. 27, at the Rapides Parish Registrar of Voters office. Voters must present a valid Louisiana driver’s license, a Louisiana special ID, a LA Wallet digital credential, or another approved government-issued photo ID to cast their ballot.
