Three from parish pass Bar Exam

By JIM BUTLER

Three Rapides residents are among those passing this year’s Louisiana Bar Exam.

The Committee on Bar Admissions reported this month to the Louisiana Supreme Court that the trio is among 345 men and women who passed the exam and other state bar association admission requirements.

The new Rapides attorneys are Thomas Tyler Crowe, Woodworth; Alexander William Kleinman, Alexandria; and Tarus Marcellus Tolbert II, Pineville.

It’s possible others persons from Rapides but listing current residence outside the parish are also among  those passing.

The Alexandria Bar Association, founded in 1928, lists about 300 active members.

Their practices include public and private. Randall M. Briggs is president.

Statewide, according to the state bar, there are 19,524 attorneys active in private, corporate or government practice.
