The North Rapides Business & Industry Alliance (NRBIA) recently held a meeting featuring updates on education and economic development, along with special recognition of a local Vietnam War veteran.

Rapides Parish School Superintendent Jeff Powell addressed attendees, sharing information about the progress being made by teachers and students throughout the parish and Rapides Parish’s role in advancing education across Louisiana.

Pineville Mayor Joe Bishop also provided an update on developments in the city, including announcements about new businesses coming to Pineville.

A highlight of the meeting was the recognition of Vietnam War veteran Jeffery Tillman, who was honored for his military service and sacrifice.

The North Rapides Business & Industry Alliance expressed appreciation for Tillman’s service and recognized the contributions of military veterans.

NRBIA brings together individuals to exchange ideas, support local businesses and promote the community. The organization also encouraged others to become involved in its efforts.
