Alfonzo Perez-Mendez, 80, of Pineville, entered eternal rest on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria, LA.
Alfonzo was a loving father, grandfather, and brother whose greatest joy was spending time with his family. Born in Mesa de las Flores, Guanajuato, Mexico, he cherished the moments shared with those he loved and created memories that will be treasured forever.
While living in Mexico, Alfonzo enjoyed riding his mule and caring for his animals, reflecting his hardworking spirit and love for the simple things in life. He will always be remembered for his devotion to his family, his strong work ethic, and the countless cherished memories he created with those around him.
His love, kindness, and presence will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Though he is deeply missed, his memory will live on through his family and the love they share.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel Perez-Martinez and Ma Concepcion Mendez-Zubieta.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his wife, Efigenia Torres-Diaz; ten children; twenty-eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
