The Alexandria Police Department has arrested five individuals in connection with the August 13, 2026, homicide of 20-year-old Patrick Battles III.
On Thursday, August 13, at approximately 10:50 p.m., officers responded to a local hospital regarding a gunshot victim. Battles succumbed to his injuries, and investigators later determined the shooting occurred in the 3700 block of 3rd Street.
Arrests Made
- Tyler Winchester, 20 — Arrested Friday, August 14, and charged with illegal use of a weapon and negligent carrying of a weapon.
- Tijah Foster, 21 — Arrested Monday, August 17, and charged with second-degree murder.
- Xavier Walker, 21 — Arrested Monday, August 17, and charged with illegal use of a weapon and negligent carrying of a weapon.
- Jamarion Williams, 22 — Arrested Monday, August 17, and charged with illegal use of a weapon and negligent carrying of a weapon.
- Jaylynn Wayford, 22 — Arrested Monday, August 17, and charged with illegal use of a weapon and negligent carrying of a weapon.
- Kenneth Morris, 19 — Arrested.
- Aaron Freeman, 19 — Arrested.
- Raymond Sanders, 26 — Arrested.
The Alexandria Police Department has announced that all three individuals previously listed as suspects sought — Kenneth Morris, Aaron Freeman and Raymond Sanders — have been arrested.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Freeman, Morris, or Sanders, or details concerning the homicide, is asked to contact the Alexandria Police Department.
