Funeral services for Mr. Gregory Bruce “Moe” Eaves will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2026, in the Chapel of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale, with Reverend Bo Alston officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery, Glenmora, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Mr. Eaves, 65, of Glenmora, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 8, 1961, to C.J. and Helen Marie Burnett Eaves.
Greg, or Moe, as many people knew him, was a pipeliner for many years. When he was a teenager, his Daddy, C.J., taught him to run a dozer and backhoe; he was an operator at heart. They worked at many of the nurseries in Forest Hill. Moe made many friends all across the country while working on pipelines from New Mexico to Virginia.
Greg loved to hunt and grow a garden. He loved and was very proud of his sons, Randall and Kevin. He loved all of his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchild, and all of his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, C.J. and Helen Marie Eaves; one sister, Barbara; five brothers, Eddie, George, Michael, Robert “Bobby,” and Brian; and one daughter-in-law, Yanna.
Those left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory include his wife of forty-four years, Tammy Andrus Eaves; two sons and their wives, Randall Eaves (Lisa) and Kevin Eaves (Laken); seven grandchildren, Laurynn (Jake), Eryn (Donavan), Harleigh (Logan), Macey (Gabe), Bryce (Jaci), Camden, and Karter; eleven great grandchildren, Emily, Lexi, Braxton, Cameron, Mason, Ashton, Bella, Willow, Allena, Olivia, and Levi; one great-great grandchild, Nova; five brothers, Donald (Helen), Keith (Cherry), Clint, Jody (Betty), and Jason (Suzan); one sister, Beth Owen (Billy); two sisters-in-law, Robin Eaves and Kathy Eaves; one brother-in-law, Tony Andrus; his father-in-law, Bobbie Andrus; a host of nieces and nephews; many more family members; along with some very close friends who have been right by his side through his sickness.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Bruce Smith, Byron Lemoine, Doug Travis, Gary Thomas, John Brimage, and Richard Polk. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerad Andrus, Jeremy Eaves, Keith Gassiott, and Kennan Richard.
