Law enforcement officers gathered at Pineville Junior High on Friday to welcome Deputy U.S. Marshal Drew Hanson’s daughter on her first day of school.

According to Louisiana State Police, local, state, and federal law enforcement officers were present to mark the occasion, demonstrating the partnerships and support shared throughout the law enforcement community.

Officers said they were honored to stand together, offer encouragement, and help make her first day back on campus memorable. Louisiana State Police said the event served as a reminder that law enforcement is about more than public safety and also includes supporting one another, their families, and the communities they serve.

As students return to classrooms across Louisiana, Louisiana State Police said the gathering was one example of the commitment demonstrated by troopers and law enforcement officers throughout the state. Officers continue to work alongside school officials and community partners to help ensure students, faculty, and staff have a safe environment to learn, work, and grow throughout the school year.
