Trooper Ryan Wiggins of Louisiana State Police Troop E was recognized with the Kiwanis Club of Alexandria’s “Lawman of the Year” award during a recent club meeting.

According to Sgt. Joe Dessnes, Wiggins was selected because of his tactical maneuver knowledge, his mentorship of young troopers, his professionalism, and his care for the community. Dessnes described Wiggins as “an all around good guy.”

The Louisiana State Police said the award reflects Wiggins’ outstanding dedication, professionalism, and service to his community. According to the agency, his commitment to protecting others and upholding the highest standards of law enforcement earned him the distinguished honor.

The Kiwanis Club of Alexandria congratulated Wiggins on receiving the Lawman of the Year award.
