More than 2,000 educators and school personnel were recognized during the annual Opening of Schools Meeting hosted by the Rapides Parish School Board.

The event drew attendance from chancellors, principals, teachers, students and other members representing the parish’s 41 schools.

The gathering marked the start of the new school year and recognized the work and dedication of Rapides Parish educators and school personnel. Attendees expressed appreciation for the hard work, sacrifices, and care educators provide to students each day. Blessings were also extended to educators and their families as the new school year begins.
