
A graveside service for Mr. Darryl Wayne Carter will be held at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. with Rev. Kelli Stephenson officiating.
Darryl was born on December 6, 1961, in Alexandria, Louisiana to Wayne and Shirley Stainback Carter. He entered into rest on July 23, 2026.
Darryl grew up in a military family, traveling to several bases in the United States. Growing up he was a part of the Boy Scouts, Indian Guides, and practiced martial arts. He worked as a quality inspector of propellors at a manufacturing plant in Shreveport. Darryl had very many different hobbies. He collected a multitude of different things such as baseball cards and comic books. He also enjoyed playing video games, card games, and chess, especially with his nephew Matthew. Along with playing board games with his family. Darryl will be deeply missed by his family.
Darryl is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Ann Stainback Carter.
Left to cherish his memories are his father, Wayne Carter and wife Mary Jo, sisters, Melody Kilburn Carter and husband Richard, Jr., Denise Carter Walsh, Melinda Prause and husband Anthony, and Melissa Erlund and husband Michael, special nephews Ricky and Matthew Kilburn, and by numerous other nieces and nephews.
