Bolton Academy has announced three new faculty members who will join the school for the upcoming academic year.
Mrs. Brittany Lawrence will join the first grade team. Lawrence is entering her 17th year in education and said she is returning to the classroom after serving in administration.
“This will be my 17th year in education. I am excited to take a break from administration and step back into the classroom where the joy is! I can’t wait to create lifelong memories with my students and ensure they build a love for all things school!” Lawrence said.
Ms. Liz Hines has joined the high school math department, where she will teach Integrated Math I and Algebra II. Hines, a Bolton Academy alumna, said she is excited to return to her alma mater.
“I am excited to be back in the classroom this year, teaching at Bolton Academy — my alma mater! A little about me, I’m a mom of four, and two of my own children will be here at Bolton with me this year. I have a deep love for math education and helping students build confidence with numbers. I can’t wait to get to know you families and make this a great year of learning together!” Hines said.
Mrs. Cindy Normand will join the seventh grade team as the English Language Arts teacher.
Normand is entering her seventh year of teaching middle school ELA.
“This is my 7th year teaching middle school ELA, and one of the things I love most about teaching is helping students discover their potential. My goal is to create a classroom where every student feels valued, challenged, and encouraged to become the best version of themselves both academically and personally. At the end of the day, I want each student to know and truly believe that they can do it, and my job every day is to support and encourage that growth!” Normand said.
