Tiberius “Ty” Joyce, born November 9, 1981, in Danbury, Connecticut, passed away leaving behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, generosity, and love.
Ty was an entrepreneur, photographer, inventor, and problem solver. He founded Bit Happens and later Cajun Fried Marketing and Photography, using his talents in technology, marketing, and photography to help countless individuals and small businesses.
Ty had an endless curiosity and a creative spirit. He loved technology, books, Star Wars, video games, photography, cars-especially Hondas-and learning something new whenever possible.
More than anything, Ty will be remembered for his heart. He generously gave his time, talents, and resources to others, supporting organizations such as Children’s Miracle Network, the American Red Cross, the American Heart Association, local shelters, animal rescues, and many more.
In recent years, Ty committed himself to becoming healthier. Through clean eating, exercise, and determination, he embraced an incredible weight-loss journey that reflected the same persistence he brought to every challenge he faced. When Ty decided something was worth doing, he gave it everything he had.
Ty attended Journey Church, where he was baptized in 2017. His faith guided the way he viewed the world and the people in it. He believed every person mattered because they mattered to God. He didn’t simply talk about loving others-he practiced it through compassion, generosity, forgiveness, and service.
Even after his passing, Ty continued his legacy of helping others. As an organ donor, he gave strangers the gift of hope and life-a final reflection of the generous heart he shared throughout his life.
Ty was preceded in death by his father, Paul Joyce; and his brother, Jamie Allen Joyce.
He is survived by his mother, Connie Joyce; his brother, Sterling Joyce; his beloved fiancée, Crystal Rene Shockley; Nicholas Roy, Shane Johnson, and Krystina Roy, whom he loved as his own; TJ, Elijah Beau, Gabriel, and Michael, who brought joy to his life; and countless friends, family members, clients, neighbors, and church family whose lives were forever changed because they knew him.
There is an old saying that a person’s life is measured not by the years they lived, but by the lives they touched.
By that measure, Ty Joyce lived an extraordinary life.
