Remembering Kim Alayne Gordy

Ms. Kim Alayne Gordy, age 62, of Pineville, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 4, 2026, after a courageous battle with colon cancer.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Gallagher Funeral Home on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 3:00 pm. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 1:00-3:00 pm.

Kim lived a life defined by unwavering love, loyalty, and friendship. For the past 33 years, she devoted herself to being a constant presence in the lives of Jen’s children-Tori, Zachary, and Jen’s grandson, Cooper-who were like her own. She never missed a milestone, celebration, school event, or special occasion, and she cherished the simple moments spent talking, laughing, and making memories together. Whether planning family outings or taking them on memorable trips, Kim’s love and dedication left an immeasurable mark on their lives.

A proud 1981 graduate of Pineville High School, Kim enjoyed a distinguished career as a legal secretary spanning more than 35 years. She began her professional journey in Washington, D.C., before returning home to Louisiana, where she continued her career at several respected law firms. She was known for her professionalism, strong work ethic, and the lasting relationships she built with colleagues throughout the years.

Outside of work, Kim’s greatest passion was her beloved Chevrolet Camaros. Her most recent Camaro, affectionately named Liberty, held a special place in her heart. She loved traveling with fellow enthusiasts through various car clubs and groups, forming countless friendships along the way. Her enthusiasm for Camaros extended beyond the road, as she proudly amassed a collection of hundreds of toy Camaro models and awards that reflected her lifelong appreciation for these iconic cars.

Kim treasured the friendships she made throughout every season of her life. She remained close with many of her classmates from Pineville High School and developed a wide circle of lifelong friends within the car community. Her kind heart, generous spirit, infectious smile, and genuine interest in others made her a friend who could always be counted on.

Kim will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the memories she created with those she cherished, and the countless lives she touched through her kindness, generosity, and faithful presence. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, friendship, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Kim is preceded in death by her mother, Louise Gordy and her infant daughter, Jessica Louise Gordy.

Those left to cherish and celebrate her memories are her father, Frank Gordy (Susie); siblings, Jennifer Bailey (Chuck), Jim Gordy, and Christi Catanzaro (Doug); nieces and nephews, Tori Talley (Ben), Zachary Bailey, Courtney Bailey (Adam), Adam Gordy, Leyla Gordy, Yusef Gordy, Zaynab Gordy, and Bella and Kate Catanzaro; and her great nieces and nephews, Cooper, Emma, Raelynn, Rogue, and Knox.

She leaves behind a family of the heart, devoted friends, and a community that is better for having known her. May she rest in eternal peace.

The family would like to thank the staff at Dr. Halawani’s office, the countless staff members throughout Cabrini Hospital, Heart of Hospice and Tioga Community Care Center (Haley).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations can be made to St. Jude’s in Kim’s name.
