Services for Stanley Jewel Dickson will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Calvary Baptist Church in Alexandria, with Reverend Lee Dickson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, in Ball, under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home, Alexandria.
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Calvary Baptist Church prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Scotty Blood, Jonathan Blood, Caleb Blood, Aaron Blood, Wade Dickson and Donald “Duck” Roy. Honorary pallbearers will be Stanley Dickson, Jason LeJeune, Lonnie LeJeune, and John Blood, Jr.
Mr. Dickson, 96, of Alexandria, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Valley View Nursing Home in Mansura.
Stanley was a devoted husband, a loving father, and an ever-dedicated grandfather and great-grandfather.
For over 66 years, Stanley served as an Ordained Deacon, passionately sharing his love for Jesus and working with R.A. boys, always ready to lend an ear and a helping hand. His faith was a cornerstone of his life and the inspiration for those around him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda L. Dickson; parents, Joseph Wade Dickson, Sr. and Annie Lee (Ham) Dickson; grandsons, Steven LeJeune and Patrick Dickson; brothers, Everett, Thurlow, Lonnie, and Joseph Dickson; and nephew, Victor Dickson.
Those left to cherish his memory include daughters, Dinah Blood (John) and Jackie LeJeune (Lonnie); sons, Dennis Dickson (Patti) and Danny Dickson (Nyla); brother, Lee Dickson (Barbara); grandchildren, Scotty Blood (Gwyn), Danielle B. Marcotte, Jonathan Blood (Colleen), Christina Irving (Jeremy), Jason LeJeune (Laurie), Denise D. Whitney (Luke), April D. Braun (Robert), Stanley Dickson (Julie), Wade Dickson (Katie), Linzay Nevill (Tyler), Jennifer Wells, Bethany Wells and Benji Wells; great-grandchildren, Caleb Blood, Aaron Blood, John Blood, Timothy Marcotte, Andrew Marcotte, Jacie Fitzsimmons, Seth Wiley, Ava LeJeune, Allie LeJeune, Brody LeJeune, Hayes Lord, Steven Braun, Lilly Dickson, Beckett Dickson, Briggs Dickson, Campbell Dickson and Elle Nevill.
