Remembering Marvin Ray Lee

Marvin Ray Lee, age 82, passed away on June 3, 2026, at Lexington House. He was born on July 24, 1943, in Alexandria, Louisiana, to Herman P. Lee and Mary Eloise Woodson.

Funeral services for Mr. Lee will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Gallagher Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 11:00 a.m.

Marvin spent many years as an over-the-read truck driver, working for numerous companies throughout his career, If it could be delivered, Marvin would deliver it. He was a hardworking man with a great imagination and a gift for storytelling.

He enjoyed fishing, dancing, listening to Zydeco and blues music, and trying his luck at the casino playing slot machines. Above all, Marvin was a devoted husband, loving grandfather, and a man who cherished his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Mary Lee, his wife Elaine Lee ; one daughter Lisa Michiels one grandson Joey Michiels and two brothers Harold Lee and Joseph Lee.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Andriana (Gene) Stakes, Tauna Lindsey, Fr. Kenneth Michiels, Gary (Leslie) Michiels, and Richard “Dale” (Alicia) Michiels; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and extended family and friends.
