Jennifer Tyler has been selected as one of 50 educators from across Louisiana to participate in the 2026-2027 Aspiring Principal Fellowship through the Louisiana Department of Education.
The yearlong fellowship is designed to prepare future school leaders for the responsibilities of serving as a principal. Participants will engage in professional learning opportunities focused on leadership development and school administration.
According to the Rapides Parish School Board, fellows will complete the program with a leadership portfolio, mentorship and insight from some of Louisiana’s most effective school leaders, and a professional network that spans the state.
The fellowship aims to strengthen Louisiana’s pipeline of educational leaders by equipping aspiring principals with the knowledge, skills and support needed to lead schools effectively.
Rapides Parish School Board officials congratulated Tyler on her selection and recognized the achievement as an opportunity to further develop leadership capacity within the district.
