Remembering Albert Baker

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. Albert Baker will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, June 5, 2026 at One Life Church, Alexandria, with Revs. Josh McElwee and Paul Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Tammy Jo Busby Memorial Cemetery, Hineston, under the direction of Fall Creek Funeral Home, Pineville.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at One Life Church, from 5:00 – 9:00PM and will resume on Friday at 9:00AM until time of service.

Mr. Baker, age 44 of Alexandria, entered eternal rest on June 1, 2026 in his residence.

John was a loving son, husband, uncle and friend to many. He attended One Life Church in Alexandria. He worked for the State of Louisiana through Louisiana National Guard at Camp Beauregard and as a welder for Union Tank for over fifteen years. He enjoyed doing carpentry work with his dad and in his leisure time, he loved the outdoors and hunting. He loved the wintertime and being up North in the snow-covered mountains. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left behind to morn his loss are his wife, Mendy Cross Baker of Alexandria, his parents, Albert, Sr. and Martha Sue Baker of Alexandria, his brother, Richard O’Neal of Lafayette, his sisters, Trisha Robinson (Barry) of Pollock, Jennifer Lee Deshotel of Bentley, his nieces and nephews, Ryan O’Neal, Reagan O’Neal, Laiken Roberts, Austin Erwin, Corrin Weatherford, Kaylor Deshotel, Kierlyn Deshotel, Axel Joshua Deshotel, Matthew Cross, Parker Elliott, Carter Cross, Madolyn Cross, his sister-in-law, Melanie Elliott of Pineville, his brothers-in-law, Mark Cross (Ginger) of Pollock and Michael Cross (Julie) of Huntsville, Arkansas.

Pallbearers honored to serve will be Marty Fletcher, Jonathon Socia, Wesley Ferguson, Kenneth Ferguson, Jonathon Guillot, and Ethan Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Ellington, Matthew Cross, and Mark Cross.

Arrangements have been placed in the care of Fall Creek Funeral Home, Robbie Dauzat, Director.
