Rapides Parish DA announces verdicts in several cases

The Rapides Parish District Attorney’s Office announced the verdicts and sentences in several cases on Tuesday. 

Demetri Dajuan Robinson was found guilty of Illegal Use of a Weapon – Violence. He was sentenced to five (5) years in prison. The case was prosecuted by ADA Kenneth Doggett.

Clifton Wayne Holmes, Jr. was found guilty of Firearm Possession by a Convicted Felon. He was sentenced to five (5) years in prison. The case was prosecuted by ADA Derrick Johnson.

Justice Jimwalter Farris was found guilty of 1st Degree Robbery and 2nd Degree Kidnapping. Farris has been sentenced to ten (10) years in prison. The case was prosecuted by ADA Kelvin Sanders.

George Thomas Carter was found guilty of Manslaughter. He was sentenced to 35 years in prison. The case was prosecuted by ADA Charles “Chuck” Johnson.

Hayes Brandon Ardoin was found guilty of DWI 3rd Offense. He was sentenced to five (5) years in prison. The case was prosecuted by June Wells Foster.
