The Alexandria Police Department responded to a local hospital in reference to an individual who was suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound on Tuesday, Sept. 2, at approximately 8:20pm. It was reported that the shooting occurred in the 2000 block of Rapides Avenue.

This is currently an ongoing investigation.
