Deputies respond to gunfire outside Alexandria graduation party, no injuries reported

Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Deputy’s working an off- duty security detail on May 17 around 11:45 pm at a privately sponsored graduation party in the 200 block of Bolton Avenue, responded to a report of shots fired in the parking lot as the party was coming to an end.

Upon arrival, deputies did locate a vehicle that was struck by gunfire but fortunately no injuries were reported.

Deputies were unable to locate or identify a suspect due to limited information being given by partygoers.

Sheriff’s Detectives and Crime Scene Unit responded to conduct their investigation where physical evidence was collected.
