CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital celebrates 75 years of service

Seventy-five years ago, St. Frances Cabrini Hospital opened its doors to the community, welcoming more than 7,000 people during its inaugural Open House. On March 19, the hospital—now known as CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital—marked the continuance of its mission of faith-based healthcare, celebrating decades of dedicated service to central Louisiana.

In honor of this milestone, a special Mass was held on the Solemnity of St. Joseph to give thanks for the hospital’s mission and ministry. Following the service, a commemorative photo was taken, featuring key hospital leaders and community figures. Among those present were Monte Wilson, President of CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital; Deacon Bill Aldridge; Alexandria Mayor Jacques Roy; Patrick Braquet, Vice President of Mission Integration at the hospital; Chris Karam, Senior Vice President of CHRISTUS Health; Father Joy Antony, Chaplain at the hospital; Deacon Jason Lavergne; and Deacon Richard Mitchell.

The 75th anniversary celebration serves as a reminder of the hospital’s commitment to compassionate, quality healthcare and its deep roots in the community. As CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital looks to the future, it remains dedicated to providing exceptional medical care while upholding the values upon which it was founded.
