RPSO responds to shots fired in England Drive area, one person wounded, several arrested

Patrol deputies responded to the 2400 block of England Drive in reference to a report of shots fired in the area at approximately 12:30pm on Thursday.
 
Upon arrival, deputies located one subject who was wounded in the arm. Responding deputies rendered medical attention, including the application of tourniquet, until Acadian Ambulance arrived. The subject was then transported by Acadian to a local hospital. At this time, the individual’s condition is unknown.
 
Sheriff’s detectives and Crime Scene Unit responded to conduct their investigation. Deputies notified local agencies of a possible suspect vehicle, a white four-door sedan.
 
At approximately 1:45pm, deputies located the suspect vehicle near LA 28 East and Pinehurst and a pursuit ensued. Deputies, along with Louisiana State Police, pursued the suspect vehicle down 28 East and onto Philadelphia Road where they were stopped at Philadelphia and Vit Road.
 
Two suspects were taken into custody after a felony stop was conducted.
 
One other suspect was taken into custody in the 400 block Smith Street in Wardville during an RPSO SWAT operation.
