The Alexandria Garden Club will present two hours of fun for children on Friday, Oct. 18 from 10 am – 12 pm at Westside Regional Library.
The subject is “Knowing and Growing Food.” It will include a series of challenges with lots of participation by the kids who will learn the names and nature of well-known foods, but also of foods that are little-known and a little bit mysterious. Together we will explore where each of the foods come from.
Children will learn how plants grow and leave with a small pot with seeds they have planted. There will be coloring and watercolor painting pages of fruits and vegetables, story time, a scavenger hunt, and prizes. Come for the whole event or part of it.
Seating is limited. Registrations are required. See the RPL digital calendar to register online at rpl.events.mylibrary.digital/event?id=111838.
