Two arrested after early-morning Tuesday stabbing in Pineville

A man and woman are jailed in connection with a Pineville stabbing early Tuesday.

The victim, gender not revealed by police, was hospitalized in critical condition.

Sigfrud Williams, 20, of Marrero and Liontraill Williams, 21, of Pineville are charged in the case.

He is charged with attempted 2nd degree murder and his bail is $500,000. She is charged with obstruction of justice by evidence  tampering with bail at $10,000.

Her address at booking is on Armstrong Street. The stabbing occurred about 5 a.m. in the 200 block of that street, police said.

She was arrested on felony charges of accessory after the fact and criminal conspiracy on May 2023.

Authorities did not note any relationship, if any, between the suspects. Provocation for the stabbing was not mentioned.
