The Rapides Symphony Orchestra’s holiday concert Sunday at the
Coughlin-Saunders Performing Arts Center delighted its audience.

The concert featured the local orchestra and also showcased the Louisiana
Christian University Chorale, directed by Jacob Wittkopp. A packed house
attended – and eventually participated in – the concert when, in the late
stages of the event, they sang along to three popular Christmas songs.

Hong Kong native Francis Ku, this year’s conducting assistant for the RSO,
directed the orchestra in its rendition of composer Frederick Delius’
“Sleigh Ride.”
