Funeral services for Carolyn Reddin Tarver will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 7, 2023 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria with Reverend Kenny Blackwell officiating. Burial will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens, Woodworth.

The family requests that visitation be observed at the funeral home Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Stroup, Jacob Tarver, Payten Tarver, Greg Beard, Pat Ring, and Wes McDougald.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wilbert J. Saucier, Jr., and Harry Austin.

Mrs. Tarver, 80, of Alexandria, passed from this life on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at her residence with her children by her side.

Mrs. Tarver was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Alexandria. She was the owner of Carol Tarver Real Estate Company, Alexandria. Carol was a member of the American Legion, and a member and past President of the Louisiana Realtor’s Association.

She was preceded in death by her son, William Bobby “Bill” Galloway; parents, William Douglas “Big Daddy” Reddin and Jacqueline Nichols Reddin, and great granddaughter, Sloane Tarver.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Jeffery Joseph Tarver and wife, Terri Hathorn Tarver; daughter, Rebecca Celeste Tarver Saucier and husband, Wilbert J. Saucier, Jr.; grandchildren, Noelle Celeste Bryan, Jacob Doyle Tarver and wife, Ren Tarver, Kristen Michelle Bryan Stroup and husband, Daniel Stroup, Payten Cole Tarver and wife, Brittney Tarver, and Jordan Hope Benson and husband, Bruce Benson; great grandchildren, Brody Stroup, Gage Stroup, Addison Tarver, and Ridley Sloane Tarver, and numerous other family and friends.
