Members of Rapides Parish Fire District 7 experienced a busy day of training and emergency response, assisting with a brush fire near Camp Livingston before responding to a reported structure fire later in the day.

The department began the day by hosting a National Fire Academy (NFA) class. A few hours into the training, members were dispatched to a brush fire in the Camp Livingston area.

Firefighters from Rapides Parish Fire District 7 worked alongside Holiday Village, Deville, Alpine, and Federal Forestry crews to bring the fire under control.

After several hours, crews successfully contained the brush fire. A few hours later, department members were dispatched again, this time to a reported structure fire.

The department expressed appreciation for its members and neighboring departments, recognizing their dedication and cooperation in serving the community.
