The Alexandria Museum of Art recently hosted its Block N Roll Print Party, bringing together artists, families and community members for a hands-on printmaking experience.
The event featured opportunities for participants of all ages to explore the printmaking process, from carving and inking to rolling and revealing finished prints.
A unique feature of the event was the use of a steamroller, provided through a sponsorship by Mark Byrd and Doggett, which allowed participants to experience printmaking on a larger scale.
Artist Stefan Nodarse also participated in the event, sharing his talent and expertise through a live printmaking demonstration. One of the featured works was a crocodile print created by Nodarse.
The museum expressed appreciation to Byrd, Doggett and Nodarse for their contributions to the event.
The Alexandria Museum of Art also thanked the participating artists, volunteers, families and community members who helped make this year’s Block N Roll a celebration of art and creativity.
