Mrs. Martha Jean Fluker Parish, 74, of Ball, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 13, 2026, at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria, LA.

Martha was born on April 26, 1952, in Honduras, to the late James and Doreen Fluker. She made her home in Ball, Louisiana, where she devoted her life to her family and her Savior.

Martha shared forty-three years of marriage with her beloved husband, Jimmy Parish. Together they built a life centered on love, family, faith, and countless cherished memories.

A faithful member of Sanctuary of Praise, Martha’s life reflected her deep faith and servant’s heart. She found great joy in gardening, reading, studying God’s Word, keeping up with current events and politics, and spending time in the kitchen creating new recipes. She especially enjoyed Bible study and growing her faith alongside fellow believers.

Martha also had a wonderful sense of humor that could brighten any room. Her playful spirit, quick wit, and infectious laughter brought joy to those around her and created countless cherished memories. She had a unique ability to make others smile and will be remembered for the warmth, kindness, and laughter she shared throughout her life.

Martha was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jimmy Parish; her parents, James and Doreen Fluker; her brother, David Fluker; and her sister, Cathy Peek.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Christopher Parish (Jennifer); her daughter, Elizabeth Parish; her grandchildren, Nathan Parish (Lindsey), Becky Parish, and Ashley Parish Benoit (Jordan); her precious great-granddaughter, Eliza Ann Parish; and one brother, James Fluker (Alice). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who were blessed by her love, laughter, and friendship.

Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find comfort in knowing that Martha’s faith sustained her throughout her life. While she will be deeply missed, her family rejoices in the promise that she is now in the presence of her Savior, whom she faithfully loved and served throughout her life.

Special thanks to St. Joseph’s Hospice and the nursing staff on the 5th floor of CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.
