Pineville Beauty School was recently recognized as a recipient of the Pineville Downtown Development District’s Facade Decorative Light Grant.

The school installed three decorative lights outside its Main Street building, adding a fresh and welcoming touch to one of Downtown Pineville’s longtime landmarks.

Pineville Beauty School was founded in 1967 by Charles McTire to serve the greater Alexandria area and has grown into an accredited institution serving students from across the region.

Today, the school offers programs in cosmetology, manicuring, teacher training and shampoo technology, preparing students for careers in the beauty industry.

The school has nearly 60 years of history on Main Street.
