MARKSVILLE, La. — A Marksville woman has been arrested on felony charges involving crimes against juveniles following a multi-agency operation, Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill announced.
Bryana Gaspard, 35, of Faith Baptist Mission Lane in Marksville, was taken into custody and booked into the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities charged Gaspard with one count of production of pornography involving juveniles and one count of indecent behavior with a juvenile.
The arrest stemmed from a joint investigation conducted by special agents with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, the Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office, and the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators identified John Randall Crooks, 41, of Deville, as an alleged co-conspirator in the broader investigation. Crooks was arrested and booked into the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office on 882 counts of pornography involving juveniles and 412 counts of sexual abuse of an animal.
“Great work by my agents, Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Avoyelles Parish Sheriff’s Office,” Murrill said in a statement following the arrests.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
