Louisiana Christian begins a three-game homestand this Saturday as Oklahoma Panhandle State comes to Pineville as the Wildcats continue defense of their Sooner Athletic Conference 2025 football championship and aim to hold onto their NAIA Top 25 ranking.
Kickoff of Saturday’s contest between coach Ben McLaughlin’s nationally-ranked Wildcats (3-1, 2-0) and the Aggies (2-2, 0-1 SAC) is set for 6 p.m. at Wildcat Field and will be live streamed on 446Sports and through the Urban Edge Network.
LCU’s trip to pick up a hefty game guarantee last week at Southern in Baton Rouge, and a 50-31 loss, didn’t knock the Wildcats out of the national polls. They remained No. 17 in the Victory Sports Network NAIA Top 25 Football Media Poll but slipped one spot to 20th in the NAIA Coaches Top 25.
The Wildcats are averaging 47 points and 479 yards per game. Quarterback Bryce Perkins has completed 60 percent of his passes for 805 yards and nine touchdowns.
Alexandria Senior High product EJ Scott and Omarius Davis share the receiving lead with 15 catches each. Jaterrius Johnson (392 yards, 7.5 yards per carry, 5 TDs) and ASH product Datlan Cunningham (297 yards, 4.9 per carry, 6 touchdowns) head the running attack.
Jaden Jones’ 33 tackles leads the Wildcats’ defense, along with 11 quarterback hurries by Jermarian Jackson, who also tops the team with 7.5 tackles for lost yards.
