Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies responded to a complaint on Sept. 14 of identity theft that had been attempted at a local banking establishment. According to the victim, a person entered the bank impersonating them by presenting fraudulent identification in an attempt to withdraw money from their account. Alert bank personnel turned the person away and contacted the victim, who in turn contacted RPSO. Deputies took the initial report and the case was turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division for follow-up investigation.
Through their investigation, Sheriff’s Detectives were able to identify the suspect as Angie Tennille Wester, 50, of Alexandria.
From their investigation, Sheriff’s Detectives were able to establish sufficient probable cause that supported the original allegations. On September 17, 2026, Sheriff’s Detectives secured arrest warrants on Wester for bank fraud and unlawful production, manufacturing, distribution, or possession of fraudulent documents for identification purposes.
At this time, Wester has not been located and Sheriff’s Detectives are requesting the public’s assistance in locating her.
