Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office Patrol deputies responded on Sept. 13 around 2 am to a business in the 5900 block of Skye Street in reference to burglary in progress.

Upon arrival, deputies located a side window at the drive through and the front glass to the business broken out. Patrol Deputy’s held the perimeter until the key holder arrived as well as a K-9 unit with the Alexandria Police Department. 

Deputies, along with the APD K9, entered and cleared the business Video surveillance recovered at the scene show the suspect leaving through the back door of the business as deputies arrived. 

Sheriff’s Detectives and Crime Scene Unit responded to conduct their investigation. 

From their investigation , detectives determined the suspect had on a dark hoodie, gloves and a mask. Money, alcohol, smoking devices, lottery tickets and a firearm was taken in this burglary.
