Pineville High School opened its new synthetic turf field and resurfaced track at D.C. Bill Bates Stadium before Friday’s season opener.

Both projects were funded by the bond District 52 voters approved in May 2025.

“On behalf of the Pineville High community, we would like to thank all Pineville voters for the ability to make this dream come true,” Principal John Neal said.

School board members, elected officials and community partners joined the school at center field to celebrate the opening.
