Alexandria City Park will temporarily close beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2026, for approximately six to eight weeks.

The temporary closure will restrict all public access to the park pavilion and public restrooms, play areas and splash pad, and the main parking lot.

The project is part of the citywide park improvements and the Reignite Corridor initiative, bringing long-term updates and enhanced recreational spaces to the community.
