The Alexandria Lions Club hosted a luncheon featuring a presentation on the Southern Forest Heritage Museum & Research Center by John Simpson.

Simpson shared a brief history and transition tale of one of the most historic sawmills in the nation, which showcases steam locomotives and logging equipment from the early 20th century.

He also spoke about the museum’s upcoming festival on Saturday, October 17.
