Sheila Annette Johnson Cohea, age 71, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana.

There will be a Memorial Visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Gallagher Funeral Home on Saturday, August 8, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Gertie Johnson; and siblings, Marion Johnson, Jr., Gerald Johnson, Judy Haskins, and Patricia Navarre.

Those left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 47 years, William Glenn Cohea; sons, Byron Cohea (Sherry) and Jason Cohea (Karla); sisters, Debra Nobles and Jane Carter; grandchildren, Meagan Washburn (Noah), Olivia Cohea, Austin Cohea (Bethany), Nicholas Cohea, Christopher Cohea, Haley Cohea, Emily Cohea, and Henry Cohea; numerous bonus children and grandchildren; and lifelong friend, Dorothy Vercher.

Mrs. Sheila was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Southern values, etiquette, and hospitality were staples of her life. Cooking, decorative catering for events, and even cleaning were all ways that she showed loved. Mrs. Sheila was a private lady but found her own ways of letting people know that she cared. Her generosity and willingness to help are just a glimpse of the love she had for her family. She will forever be missed by those that loved and knew her.
