The Kiwanis Club of Alexandria awarded State Trooper Ryan Wiggins of Louisiana State Police Troop E with its Lawman of the Year honor during Tuesday’s lunch meeting.

Sgt. Joe Dessnes said Wiggins was chosen for his tactical maneuver knowledge and for serving as a mentor to young troopers.

Dessnes also described Wiggins as an all-around good person.

The Kiwanis Club of Alexandria congratulated TFC Ryan Wiggins and said it was honored to present him with the Lawman of the Year award.
