Several Lions from across District 8-I delivered flood relief supplies to Avoyelles Parish on Sunday as part of a $15,000 relief grant from the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) received by District Governor Lion Susan Ballard.

Lions from Winnfield, Pineville, Alexandria, Cottonport and surrounding communities worked together to load, transport and unload supplies at the emergency storage facility in Marksville.

The effort was made possible through the LCIF relief grant.

The Lions Clubs’ motto, “Where there is a need, there is a Lion,” was shared in recognition of the relief effort.

The Pineville Lions Club also thanked the Lions Clubs International Foundation for its support.
