Mrs. Yates, of Pineville, entered her heavenly home on her 95th birthday, Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at The Oaks Nursing Home, Pineville, LA.

Wilma shared an extraordinary love story with her husband. She was married to the love of her life for 75 years, celebrated December 23, 2025. They were rarely seen apart, and their unwavering devotion to one another was an inspiration to all who knew them.

She belonged to a generation that understood the priceless value of home and family. As a devoted stay-at-home mother, she faithfully poured her life into raising their six children with love, wisdom, and unwavering dedication, while her husband faithfully provided for their family. Her greatest joy was seeing her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren grow in love and faith.

Her faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life. She deeply loved her church, cherished her pastors, and served tirelessly alongside them. Her quiet faithfulness and servant’s heart left a lasting legacy that will continue for generations.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emery and Ethel Rollins; her brothers, Paul and Lloyd Rollins; and her son, David Glen Yates.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 75 years, Donald F. Yates; five children, Lois Morrison, Pamela Skluzacek (Alan), Christopher Yates, Nancy Edwards (Jim), Gregory Yates; eleven grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Cabrini Hospice, The Oaks staff, and her church family and friends for their many prayers, food, and all the support and assistance given.
