Agents with the Rapides Area Drug Enforcement Unit, in partnership with the Alexandria Police Department and the Louisiana State Police, conducted a counter narcotics operation on July 1 in the 40 block of Chester Street in Alexandria.

According to the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office, the operation is ongoing. Officials said no further information is available at this time.
