Pineville announces nightly lane closures on U.S. 165 Southbound near Maryhill Road for intersection improvements

The Pineville Police Department has announced nightly lane closures along US 165 Southbound near Maryhill Road beginning June 23, 2026, as part of ongoing roadway improvement work at the intersection.

Officials said the outside southbound lane will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Friday, for approximately three weeks while construction crews complete intersection upgrades.

The project at US 165 and Maryhill Road is expected to be completed by July 17, 2026, weather permitting.

Motorists traveling through the area are being advised to expect delays, reduce speed in the work zone, and consider alternate routes when possible. Authorities also noted that all work is weather dependent and schedules may change based on conditions or unforeseen circumstances.

The Pineville Police Department encouraged drivers to exercise caution while navigating the construction area to ensure the safety of both motorists and work crews.
